Cookies and browser storage on the self-hosted Areizon platform.

Secure Areizon session cookies support login. Sessions are configured for up to seven days, ending earlier on logout/revocation. HTTPS cookies use Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax.

areizon-locale remembers language for up to one year. areizon-consent remembers cookie choices for up to 180 days. Choices also use local browser storage under areizon-consent-v1, without an automatic browser expiry; clear this in browser settings. Footer Cookie settings changes your selection. No optional analytics or marketing tracker is currently connected in the source; granting a category alone does not install tracking.

areizon-consent-id is a random browser identifier linking your recorded cookie choice to the consent register. This cookie lasts up to 180 days and uses HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax and Secure on HTTPS. It is not a password or advertising cookie. Clearing browser storage removes the cookie but does not automatically erase the associated server record.

A selected nearby-search starting point uses per-tab sessionStorage under areizon-search-startpoint-v1. The application uses it for at most one hour and removes expired storage on checking it. A home address is not saved as an address cookie. Clear all filters removes the starting point. PDOK receives the address query when that search is used.

Cloudflare may use necessary security cookies/checks according to active settings. Necessary security checks can vary by visit; this is not a promise that infrastructure never sets cookies. Optional trackers require a new inventory and valid consent where required.

Birthday window

If you voluntarily saved a date for the personal greeting, a private window can appear on your birthday when you open the website while signed in. After dismissal, localStorage holds only an opaque account/day code and the current calendar day to avoid repeats. No name, date of birth or birth year is stored in the browser for this. The code only applies that day and is replaced or removed on a later check with a different code. You can clear browser storage; if it is blocked the greeting may reappear on reopening. No birthday email is sent.

Chosen search preference and job comparison

Only after you choose Save these work filters do we store job terms and work filters in this browser's localStorage for up to ninety days. No town, postcode, address or precise location is saved in that preference. It is not automatically applied, copied to your account or an email alert. Clear it in Your search preference. Comparison stores up to three public job snapshots in this tab's sessionStorage for up to one hour. These are not applications or permanently saved jobs. Successful sign-in and sign-out clear these temporary personal browser lists and the search preference. Avoid saving on shared computers. Browser settings can also clear this storage; the website remains usable without it.
